historic biloxi lighthouse days after Hurricane Katrina

point cadet (east biloxi) days after Hurricane Katrina

Following hurricane Camille, in 1969, the Biloxi Art Association became defunct for almost two years, then re-emerged with it's First Annual Art Show at the Edgewater Mall.

While our association has suffered in the wake of Katrina, we have never stopped meeting, encouraging membership or planning for the future. That future includes Annual Art Shows. Plans are in their infancy to hold our Second, First Annual Art Show.

With that in mind, the Biloxi Art Association needs the help and support of local businesses and patrons to recover and thrive. Any help, whether it be monetary or of time, one can offer to help us in this endeavor will be greatly appreciated.

The Biloxi Art Association
presents its FIRST EVER
Fall Festival of Arts 2008

Edgewater Mall Biloxi

November 22nd & 23rd
Saturday 10am - 6pm
Sunday  noon - 6pm

The Biloxi Art Association invites the fine artists and craftsman of the Gulf Coast region to participate in our first ever Fall Festival of Arts.  Proximity to the Christmas shopping season means booths will be at a premium. Exhibition space will assigned to those artisans  demonstrating the highest quality and level of skill in their chosen medium, and in order of applications received.

This will be a wonderful opportunity to exhibit, and sell your work, as close to the Christmas shopping season as could possibly be scheduled !

Please read the guidelines carefully and we look forward to receiving your application.

We are a nonprofit organization devoted to the promotion of art along the Mississippi Gulf Coast.
The Biloxi Art Association is for artists and art lovers.
Our mission is to provide an atmosphere in which members may develop their artistic talents and to provide ways in which they may display and exhibit their works.

We endeavor to provide educational and cultural programs which will further members' artistic growth, and encourage social interaction that will foster camaraderie among members. We strive to provide opportunities for artists to share resources and skills.
We welcome fine artists and fine craftsmen to become members. Our members are diverse and primarily from the Gulf Coast Area of Mississippi; however, we accept members who wish to become involved from neighboring states.
