historic biloxi lighthouse days after Hurricane Katrina

point cadet (east biloxi) days after Hurricane Katrina

Following hurricane Camille, in 1969, the Biloxi Art Association became defunct for almost two years, then re-emerged with it's First Annual Art Show at the Edgewater Mall.

While our association has suffered in the wake of Katrina, we have never stopped meeting, encouraging membership or planning for the future. That future includes Annual Art Shows. Plans are in their infancy to hold our Second, First Annual Art Show.

With that in mind, the Biloxi Art Association needs the help and support of local businesses and patrons to recover and thrive. Any help, whether it be monetary or of time, one can offer to help us in this endeavor will be greatly appreciated.

Like many groups and organizations on the Gulf Coast we are doing our best to recover from hurricane Katrina.  In the years before Katrina we celebrated a two day Spring Festival of arts upon the Town Green in Biloxi.  While our membership needs to exhibit, priorities prohibit many from having the time or inventory to exhibit for a two day outdoor festival, or to volunteer for the many tasks needed to execute a successful festival.
